Covid-19 and public health guidance

The UK has released the current guidelines in order to stop the spread of Coronavirus.

Stay at home

  • Only go outside for food, health reasons or work (but only if you cannot work from home).
  • Stay 2 metres (6ft) away from other people.
  • Wash your hands as soon as you get home.

Unfortunately, this has also had an impact on funerals and with this, the guidelines have changed for the attendance of mourners at funerals.

Currently at Weston Mill there is a maximum of 10 mourners allowed to attend and less where possible.

Those that do attend must comply to the 2 metre distancing rules from people who don’t live in their household.

Seating will also need to be 3 people per alternate pew.

Priority should be given to:

Spouse / Partner
Parents / Carers
Brothers / Sisters
Children and their partners.

For those unable to attend, a recording can be provided, enabling them to watch the service from the safety of their home.

It was a difficult decision made by the crematorium, following government guidelines, but know that it is in the best interest of the health of yourselves and all those involved in making the funeral happen.

We are here to help, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to give us a call.

Stay safe and we will keep you updated as soon as we have any further information.
